Red Wines for Thanksgiving

As Thanksgiving approaches, it’s time to prepare delicious food and bring out the red wine! There are 2 zinfandels and 1 pinot noir that’s calling your name this holiday season. Find out more about these red wines here:

Seghesio Sonoma County Zin

Seghesio Sonoma County Zin has an expressive burst of aromas of deep dark fruits that lead into layered tones of lifted red fruit and a soft, luscious mid-palate. This wine begins with a juicy, vibrant entry and has a long, complex finish.

Illahe Willamette Pinot Noir

Illahe Willamette Pinot Noir has aromas of blueberry compote, kola nut, dried cranberry, and graphite that lead into flavors of tamarind paste, violet, quince, Thai basil, and cedar chest. This wine finishes with more fruit, a little baking spice, and silky tannins, which is perfect for this fall season.

Seghesio Old Vine Zin

Seghesio Old Vine Zin has notes of ripe blackberry and baking spices. The reason this Seghesio is termed “Old Vine Zin” is that the wine was produced from vines that are at least 50 years old. This gives the wine a rich entry of plum and cherry, giving way to a full mid-palate of smooth tannins and intense structure.
